Make sure the whole family is present during meal times. This way everyone can talk about their day. It also helps to regulate the eating speed. By sitting down and relaxing during a meal, you will be aware of the foods you put in your mouth. When you become full, your body will easily communicate with the brain and have enough time for digestion.
You must not pile your plate with food. The right portion is enough. If you feel short changed during meal times, use a smaller plate. Although it will still appear to be the same, the quantity will have reduced. This way you will not feel cheated.
